It was also the soundtrack album for their first starring movie, "Here Comes the Beatles, Yea! Yea! Yea! (A Hard Day's Night)," which was released around the same time, with seven songs on side A of the record being used as insert songs in the movie. It was the first and only Beatles original album to be composed entirely of original songs by Lennon-McCartney. It topped the UK album chart for 21 consecutive weeks. In the US, it was released as a soundtrack album edited by United Artists for the movie, and topped both the Billboard and Cashbox album charts for 14 consecutive weeks. CD 1 of "A Hard Day's Night/Alternate Album Collection" includes all the album tracks in the latest stereo remixes, four tracks from the EP "Long Tall Sally," which was released prior to the album and is all new recordings, and a multi-track demix of all the album tracks. CDs 2 and 3 are divided into the concepts of "Studio Sessions" based on studio outtakes, "Alternate Versions" which compile various mixes, and "Demo Recordings", and a total of 108 tracks are recorded on CD1 and CDs 2 and 3 together. DISC1: THE ALTERNATE ALBUM: NEW STEREO REMIX / MULTITRACK STEREO DEMIX As an "alternate album", all 14 tracks from the original album are recorded in two different remix versions with the latest edits. The latest stereo remix of the first 14 songs also includes four EPs that were not included on the album. From this album, full-scale 4-track recording was introduced, and the mix was balanced from the stereo of the first two albums, where the vocals and performances were simply distributed to the left and right, but this latest stereo remix is a new stereo remix that reconstructs the vocals and chorus separated by the popular AI technology that has been attracting attention in recent years, as well as the multi-tracks of each instrument. Compared to the original stereo from the 60's, the lead vocals, chorus and each instrument have a clearer sound image, and the guitar and drums are arranged differently in the new mix, so the difference in sound can be clearly heard even when compared to the digital remaster currently in circulation. The multi-track demix in the second half is based on a different multi-track sound source from the first half, and the sounds separated and analyzed by the demix are easier to hear and distinguish in the stereo mix. DISC2: THE STUDIO SESSIONS + Studio session recordings that trace the album's production process are recorded in almost the order they were recorded at the time. Some of the sessions have been released so far, and some of the existing session recordings that have not been included in the official recordings are collected together. The familiar previously released recordings and the takes that overlap with the official recordings are not only improved in sound quality, but are also original edited recordings with different editing and mixes depending on the song. Also of note is that many previously recorded mono sources have been newly recorded in real stereo by AI, and this is the first time that the entire studio session, including "Can't Buy Me Love" and "A Hard Day's Night," has been made into real stereo. In addition, German versions of "I Want to Hold You" and "She Loves You" and American edited mono and stereo sources of four songs from the EP "Long Tall Sally" are also included. DISC3: THE ALTERNATE VERSIONS / THE DEMO RECORDINGS "Alternate Versions" includes a collection of various mixes released since the analog era of the 1960s, as well as versions released independently in various countries around the world. It includes a variety of different mixes from the original mono and stereo versions in the UK, including the duophonic (pseudo stereo) version of the soundtrack album edited by United Artists in the US, the longer ending versions of "A Hard Day's Night", "And I Love Her" and "I Cry", the mono mix of "Any Time at All" and "Go Home" by Capitol in the US, and the remix for the video anthology, including analog mixes that are now difficult to obtain.
