Item was only displayed on my collectibles shelf. The collector's card reads: 1995 Collectible by Red Wing Stoneware Co. Each year we produce a numbered limited edition item that is a replica of a significant historical Red Wing Stoneware piece. Our 1995 limited edition is a rendition of the rare 1914 August Becker Cherry-band pitcher. August Becker was a Red Wing Grocer with financial interest in Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. (1906-1936). Becker wanted his advertising premium to be different. His special order piece used a picture and is thought to be the earliest dated of any cherry band pitcher. This pitcher will be numbered and manufactured only through December 31, 1995. If you decide to purchase this collectible, you will be celebrating a nostalgic look back at history.
